High Pressure
Thermocouples

Alloy Carbide Company has been in the business of manufacturing thermocouples for 60+ years. The development of low density polyethylene (LDPE) plants and their associated control problems were the major factors of getting involved in the manufacturing of thermocouples, along with knowledge of high pressure testing abilities, skill of silver brazing techniques, and overall comfort of producing high pressure products.

Quality Manufacturing

When manufacturing high pressure thermocouples, quality is the most important requirement to help prevent failures. All braze joints are x-rayed for integrity of the braze. This provides a visual image to ensure that no leak points are present. ACC high pressure thermocouples are designed to operate safely up to 50,000 psi. Each thermocouple is pressure tested in house at 150% of the operating pressure or up to 75,000 psi and provided with charted documentation. In addition, an anti-expulsion feature was created to prevent the thermocouple element from blowing out causing a major failure.
