Engineered Coatings

ACC applies HVOF coatings using our proprietary  RAM® Hardcoating process using high pressure hydrogen as the fuel creating a high velocity jet. The tungsten carbide powders applied directly to high wear areas will extend the life of exposed areas by as much as 10 times. We also apply coatings using chrome carbide, stainless steel, Stellite®, and Inconel® powders. 

During application the base material does not exceed 300° F and does not alter the heat treatment of the base material. The dense high bonded coatings are exceptionally effective in resisting sliding abrasive wear, erosive wear, galling, corrosion and/or oxidation.

We have years of proven success applying RAM® Hardcoatings on compressor rods, pumps, shafts and seals, impellers, gate and ball valves, mud flow components and seats.

The coatings can be used  as sprayed or ground and polished to 1 microinch for sealing and close tolerance applications.
